Permaculture, as an idea, has reached its prime. As courses flourish all over the world, there is a pressing need for experienced and well-trained instructors. This is an immersion course based on practice and independent work with guidance and input from other students and the instructor. Students will work on curriculums, content, and personal presentations.
Key skills and proficiencies learned in this course include: creating curriculums, facilitating a classroom, working with human and cultural diversity, presenting information to an audience, and participating in self-directed project work.
This training mimics the standard Permaculture Design Certificate Course and design development strategies in sequence. Students will create instructional material based on the PDC concept and template.
This course consists of one 6-day session. Students taking this course must already have their Permaculture Design Certificate. Although the course is mostly in the classroom, we will be out on the land periodically. Please dress for the weather (wear layers!) and bring boots and a raincoat.
Students receive 3 meals per day on class days and are able to camp onsite for free during the course. Anyone wishing to camp at Kinstone must make arrangements via email or phone (see the Contact us link) in advance after they have registered.
Prerequisites: a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC)
Organization: This course consists of readings, narrated power point presentations, instruction exercises, independent student work, student presentations, feedback, and revisions.

Course Texts: A resource list and handout will be distributed at the course. No specific texts are required for the course. It is recommended that students have a copy of the Permaculture Designers Manual by Mollison.
