SUMMARY:Kinstone Spring Opening - Kin-Day 2022
DESCRIPTION:It’s Spring and we welcome you once again to our annual opening weekend event\, held on the first Sunday of May of each year.  Enjoy a 50% discount on adult admission and children 7 and under are free this day only! \nJoin us as we open our doors and grounds again to celebrate Spring and the return of warm weather and another season of wonder here at Kinstone. Bring the kids of all ages to this family-centered event. Enjoy Kinstone-inspired art\, live music by Patina\, kids painting/art activities and story time\, a raptor demonstration\, refreshments and more. \nThis year we are pleased to announce that THOUSANDS of prayer flags from around the world will be on display during this event. This will be quite a sight to behold and will only happen three times this season\, May 1 being the first. These colorful flags with art and poetry from all over the globe are part of an art installation that will be residing at Kinstone throughout the summer season as part of a much larger\, 4-state land art festival called 4Ground: Midwest Land Art Biennial.  Artists Wang Ping and Joe Lerro will be onsite and sharing information about their upcoming art installation at Kinstone. They will have an art station set up all afternoon (and all season!) so that every visitor who wants to will have the chance to make a prayer flag to be included in this project.
