SUMMARY:World Labyrinth Day Walk as One at 1 - Group Labyrinth Walk
DESCRIPTION:Come walk the Kinstone Labyrinth with Kristine on World Labyrinth Day.  This is simply a group labyrinth walk to promote peace around the world. No special programming is planned. Join us!  \nWe will walk the outdoor 7-circuit classical labyrinth as a group at 1pm. The labyrinth is located down a hill; be prepared to walk a relatively steep grassy path downhill and then back up again afterwards. There will be paper finger labyrinths available in the Visitor Center for anyone interested in participating by tracing a finger labyrinth or coloring one with our various art supplies. This is a free event; however\, if you plan to stay and enjoy the grounds of Kinstone before or after the walk\, please pay general admission ($10/person) in the Visitor Center upon arrival. \nWorld Labyrinth Day is an annual event sponsored by The Labyrinth Society\, always occurring on the first Saturday of May. It is a worldwide action with participants gathering at labyrinths at 1:00pm local time to “Walk as One at 1” to co-create a rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe. Every year on this day thousands of people around the world participate in this moving meditation for world peace. \nBring your kids\, family\, friends! \nWhat: Walk as One at 1 – Group Labyrinth Walk for World Labyrinth Day \nWhere:  Kinstone Labyrinth\, at Kinstone\, S3439 Cole Bluff Lane\, Fountain City\, WI\, 54629 – Directions Here \nWhen:  Saturday\, May 2\, 1:00pm  (Arrive by 12:45pm so you have enough time to get to the labyrinth by 1:00! The walk will begin promptly at 1:00pm.) \nCost:  FREE*\, No Registration Required \n*This is a free event. However\, if you plan to come early and/or stay after to walk the grounds please pay your admission to Kinstone in advance online or pay in the Kinstone Visitor Center when you arrive. \nThis event will be held Rain or Shine! Dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes! Having said that\, if it is storming with thunder\, lightning and/or high winds\, please take shelter and wait to walk until the storm has passed. \nImportant: The Kinstone Labyrinth is located down a steep hill and may not be accessible for persons who have difficulty walking hills and uneven terrain. If you are unable or would prefer not to walk\, we have labyrinth designs printed on paper that folks can use as finger labyrinths. You can pick up a paper labyrinth in the Visitor Center. Use it in the Visitor Center or take it with you to use at home. The meandering nature of the path is a metaphor for life experience or perhaps a reflection of our desire to be grounded and find our way to “center” (i.e. become centered). A labyrinth is not to be confused with a maze. A maze is a problem to be solved and designed to create confusion and often frustration. The labyrinth is designed to provide calm\, clarity\, and harmony. The form of the labyrinth is ancient; it spans thousands of years and has been found on every continent except Antarctica. \n\nHunt for labyrinths wherever you roam by searching the “World Wide Labyrinth Locator” – check it out!
