It’s Kin-Day again.  We are so happy to invite you all back to Kinstone for our Annual Spring Open House event – it’s time to get out on the land and see Spring in all her glory. See the exciting schedule below. Bring friends along, bring your kids, and come hungry! Kinstone Kitchen food truck will be open – make sure to stop and get lunch from our delicious menu.

Join us for this FREE Event as we celebrate World Labyrinth Day and International Permaculture Day. James Grant will entertain us with his music on the porch starting at 12:30. We celebrate labyrinths with our “Walk as One at 1” group walk – this is part of a larger organized walk at 1pm in time zones all across the planet. Learn a bit about permaculture during our short but informative Permaculture In Action tour at 3:00. You will be entranced by the bagpipe music wafting over the hillsides – you’ll feel like in your ancient Scotland. This event will be held rain or shine! Come dressed for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes!  Activities are planned for the whole family to enjoy. Kids activities, Permaculture talks, tours, labyrinth walk and more! Join us for all or any part of the day! Donations are gladly accepted.

We will celebrate the tenth annual World Labyrinth Day (WLD) and in conjunction with The Labyrinth Society we  invite you to ‘Walk as One at 1″, as we join others around the globe to create a wave of peaceful energy washing across the time zones. Meet at the labyrinth at 1pm OR gather on the porch of the Education Center at 12:45; whoever is on the porch will then proceed together from there to the Kinstone Labyrinth. See more photos of the Kinstone Labyrinth in our labyrinth photo gallery. 2:00pm – 3:00pm     Family Story Hour with Anne Pellowski – Animal Stories from Around the World

Do you know what a treasure we have in Anne Pellowski? Bring the kids of all ages to listen to our very own local famous storyteller and world traveller! Anne was born in the little town of Pine Creek, Wisconsin. She attended Cotter High School and College of St. Teresa in Winona. Anne became a resident of New York City and was an avid traveler. Stories and reading are her passion. She has personally been responsible to getting books into the hands of thousands of kids in many areas of the world, includes some areas where there was nothing previously available written in the language. She will tell stories collected from her travels that will focus on animals. These will entertain the kids and adults alike. Find out more about Anne at these links:

Craig Mann, a piper with the Rochester Caledonia Pipe Band will play the bagpipes in the large stone circle. This ethereal music will make us all feel we’ve been swept away to the old stone places of the British Isles. The large outdoor arena will make the sound perfectly beautiful!

Take a one-hour guided tour and hear Kristine tell a bit about the building of the stone circle and see the amazing Kinstone Chapel. See photos of these features in the STONE CIRCLE GALLERY and the CHAPEL GALLERY.
