At Kinstone we take time to recognize the passing of the seasons with intentional events that remind us to honor our home in this part of the Universe. Summer begins with the Summer Solstice. We will gather at this time of Midsummer to say farewell to Spring with a mystical, magical, musical send-off amidst the great circle of standing stones at Kinstone.

Experience the incredible, transformational sounds of Peter Phippen (bamboo flutes), Rahbi Crawford (singing bowls), Victoria Shoemaker (wooden and crystal flutes) and Brian Reidinger (percussion / drums) in this magical venue. They are master musicians who improvise and collaborate with great effect. Their blending of the sounds of flutes, crystal singing bowls and percussion will get right into your heart and soul.

IMPORTANT: This is a non-smoking, alcohol free, kid-friendly, outdoor event. No dogs allowed.

Date:  Friday, June 23, 2023  Time:  6:30pm – 8:30pm  (we will start promptly at 6:30, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get seated)

COST: Regular Price: $25.00 /  Early Bird price through MAY 31: $20.00  / No refunds.

Kids 12 & under are FREE but must be accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket for the event.

IMPORTANT: There are No Refunds unless Kinstone cancels the event.  If there is mist, drizzle or light rain, we will still hold the event! We will cancel in case of heavy rain, storms or if lightning is present. So, watch the weather and dress accordingly. Weather related cancellations will be announced on this page and the corresponding FB event page no later than 1 hour before the start of the event.

Pay at the door (cash only) is possible but requires a reservation in advance; if you plan to come and pay at the door please CONTACT US to register! Advanced payment is preferred.

NOTICE:  Bring your own chair or blanket to sit. Dress for the weather and bring your own insect repellent, sunscreen, and umbrella for shade or light rain. Park in designated parking areas. Upon arrival, proceed directly to the Great Stone Circle and check in at the ticket table prior to finding a seat.

If you wish to bring a picnic meal for yourself to enjoy, please do so under the condition that you leave no trace! Everything you bring with you must be carried out with you again, including all trash.  This privilege will be allowed as long as all of our visitors respect this rule.

About Peter Phippen:

Projekt Records Recording Artist Peter Phippen is a Lifetime Achievement Award winning flutist. Over the past three decades and 22 recorded albums, Phippen’s experiential, natural folk style reveals his penchant for creative and artistic sonic improvisation. He has researched the history and performance technique of traditional flutes from around the world and throughout time. Phippen was the first non-Native American flutist signed to Canyon Records, which released his classic 2003 album Night Song. In 2010, his Woodnotes Wyld: Historic Flute Sounds From the Dr. Richard W. About Rahbi Crawford:

Rahbi (Roberta) Crawford is a Musical Mystic. (Mystic: One who seeks Union with the Divine). She holds two Master Degrees (Music Education, Choral Conducting) and 6 years of advanced training in professional orchestral conducting organizations: including International workshops in the Czech Republic with the Zlin professional orchestra. Her sound healing training includes Levels I & II from Tama-Do, Academy of Sound, Color and Movement, in the South of France. While studying sound healing in France, Crawford was introduced to the therapeutic properties of crystal singing bowls. Creating sound healing concerts eventually led to sharing these transformational experiences as part of Mayo Clinic’s Creative Cancer Renewal Program in Rochester, Minnesota where Crawford provided the background music for their DVD, “Mindful Movements: Gentle Yoga.” Besides her extensive musical training, Rahbi brings her own emotional healing spirit into the music. About Victoria Shoemaker:

2021 WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Peoples Choice Award for Best Music Teacher, Victoria Shoemaker received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from VanderCook College of Music (Chicago, Illinois) where she studied classical flute and piccolo performance. Presently, she studies antique and contemporary world flutes and improvisation with Grammy-nominated flutist, Peter Phippen.

Since the release of her debut album, The Witching Hour in 2016, Victoria collaborated on the 2021 Apparitions, Dreams, and Imaginings album with Peter Phippen and Brian Reidinger, which charted at #13 on One World Music Radio in the UK.  Shoemaker maintains an active performing schedule, and writes and records her own music. About Brian Reidinger:

Brian Reidinger is an accomplished drummer, composer, producer, and successful business owner. He studied piano for six years; from the age of nine, and discovered the drums, his lifelong passion, at the age of eleven. For the past 24+ years, he has been a founding partner, and longtime Creative Director/Chief Composer/Producer at Minneapolis based, In The Groove Music LLC ; crafting jingles, scores, and songs for television, advertising, news, sports, video games, etc. Reidinger continues to maintain an ‘artist friendly’ studio and live schedule: including Joe Shaheen’s ‘The Wrong Omar’ project, for whom he played drums, mixed and produced his 2017 “Rockin’ Chair” release; drums for Laura Lou’s “Echo” release, and live performances with Minneapolis based, “The Twins Of Franklin“. He also collects wine, skis, plays golf, tennis, cooks whenever possible, and with his wife is the proud co-shepherd of a lively Bernese Mountain Dog.
