Come! Let’s gather up to the ridge-land, above the bright ribbon of the Great River, in the company of the granite ancient ones at Kinstone with storyteller Tracy Chipman for a winter-tide storytelling.
Listen! Together with the dreaming land, as the day ebbs and the year wanes, we gather around the timeless, healing fire. Winter was made for stories, for speaking through the dark, and remembering the sun and its light which seem so far from us in this season. Winter Solstice is on the horizon heralding the time when the sun rebounds and begins its journey back to us as the days get longer.
Human beings have been gathering for 20,000+ years around hearth fires to tell and listen to stories of the mysteries of the world, ancient and new. Much has changed, and little has changed. Shall we gather, too? Yes, yes we shall! There is always time for and always a need for stories to be told.
Date: Saturday, December 16
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm – please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get settled; storytelling will last until 3:30 or 3:45 and then we will share warm beverages and refreshments in the Education Center.
